I often leave my San Francisco base to search for alternative life-ways and worldviews in faraway lands. My expeditions have  inspired most of the stories on this page.

I enjoyed being a journalist for some time, reporting and  hosting for the Bulgarian National Radio Varna, and producing for a few media outlets in San Francisco, California. Yet the more I studied and produced media, the more aware I became of their incapacity to tell true stories. It seemed to me that the essence of a story– it's truth– was always lost in the format, in meeting the standard, in going by the book.
Hence, I have chosen to stay true to the reason why I choose to write in a first place:  to deliver first-hand stories rooted in vastly diverse perspectives, traditions, faces, faiths, and angles of seeing

Besides writing, I spend a great amount of time in dance and mindful movement, and am blessed to be able to guide others on their path of self-awareness  and inner health through dance. I teach mindful hoop-dance at Hoop the Flow, a community hoop-dance school I founded. We offer classes and workshops in San Francisco's Mission District. You can visit Hoop the Flow's site here.
